Community

The Autumn Centre sits in the heart of Corby's Exeter Estate. The Centre was built as a multipurpose community centre and many local people remember football tournaments, badminton and community events in and around the property. The outside recreation facilities are still well used by local people and there is a car park right beside the Centre.

'Community', 'belonging' and  'giving and receiving' are central values for the current work of The Autumn Centre.

At the present time, Trustees are also keen to redevelop the wider community aspect of The Autumn Centre through

• Links between The Centre and Exeter Primary School

• Support from Groundwork's intergenerational project and other local community and wellbeing partnerships

• Understanding and developing the Centre's educational role for adults in the local community - both within the network of our existing membership and more widely, as a venue and promoter of wider learning in the community.
